Please help me remember the name of a movie
A true story about a woman whistle-blower at a nuclear power plant who gets killed under suspicious circumstances.

It's driving me nuts...

Plot Outline: The story of Karen Silkwood, a metallurgy worker at a plutonium processing plant who was purposefully contaminated, psychologically tortured and possibly murdered to prevent her from exposing blatant worker safety violations at the plant.

6. As a matter of fact, Kerr McGee is why I was asking
They are involved in a current environmental debacle over perchlorate, a rocket propellant chemical that is contaminating ground water, lettuce, milk, etc., in California and many other states.

I started thinking about the movie and wanted to make sure my memory was correct, that it was Kerr McGee that was the employer.

7. fyi... one of their board of directors is the President of Purdue
they have their fingers heavily in getting free research done by taxpayer supported land grant universities.... he used to be the president of ISU when I was a student there and wrote a number of exposes on his corporate dealings.
