I got that same email. It is being sent around by the "right wingers" i have to count my parents among them. My mom asked what i thought of the site and i said that i dont think they pictures of people hanging out of the WTC and ESPECIALLY ones of them jumping should be used to justify someones bloodlust. Those two types of pictures (along with the video) are just way too personal and upsetting to see. (still). I sent an email back to the senders of the email, and told them that they are sick. The real story is finding out who is behind the email. If you go to type in the ROOT web address it says (you are Unauthorized to view this page) which tells me right off the bat that it isnt some "MOM and POP" email that it purports itself to be. I think DU members ought to find out who is behind it!

I don't know why some of us let the Repugs capitalize on 9/11. We do that, it's over for our party. So, tell her that it was awful, then ask her what kind of a job she thinks Shrubby has done since then to respond to questions about what he knew. Turn the tables. He knew something going into it. What, exactly? Maybe point her to ?W and say that there's a large community of people demanding answers, but that the administration is declining to give any information. Take this as an opportunity to educate!!!

15. I certainly find it offensive

As though if one is against the Shrub family cabal and their BS and constant war and trashing of everything that's good means that I've "forgotten" 9-11. Nah, I still have the occasional nightmares, and still occasionally jump if the LaGuardia airplanes seem too low, or I see an odd shadow. Not so bad any more, but it's still there, and I will NEVER get the image of watching people jump out of my mind.

What pisses me off is these assholes who WEREN'T there but who broadly stating that ANYONE who witnessed the tragedy MUST support Shrub, adn that, therefore, the rest of the country should also feel EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERYONE WHO WAS THERE THAT DAY. And for so many in the country, who more than likely do not know anyone who was there, I guess it's easy to assume, from the right wing lie machine, that everyone in NYC who was affected by the bombing is running around with righteous bloodlust to topple bin laden and destroy Iraq and perhaps even pave over te whole damn middle-east.

It's a lie people, and don't forget it. Even in my Investment Bank workgroup, and we all lost our offices and most of our stuff (not WTC, neighboring building) what you would normally consider a conservative knee-jerk place to be, I knew NO ONE who was a fan of Shrub, or the ridiculous capitilizing on the tragedy, or who didn't want to know what the truth was on that day (and a few of my group were former military officers, so we can also put to rest the myth that the "all military people support Shrub in everything he says and does because the entirety of the military knows him as a perfect and fearless and god-appointed leader").
