Help me stay awake
I'm leaving in a few minutes for a 5 a.m. rehearsal. It snowed like a sumbitch so I have to leave early. I've had about three hours sleep.

Later I've got an important meeting that I actually have to coherent for, then a messed up server to sort out (not my fault, somebody else's mess) then prepare for an evening meeting that's being broadcast so I can't make a fool of myself, then drive all over town, then do the meeting, then probably socialize after the meeting assuming I don't get shot by a Freeper.

WAKIE UPPIE! Just think of Bush's thumbs on the big red buttons! Think about Dick(Lon)Cheney and all those Ghouls and Gobl'ems in the WH bunker! Think about a Bush win in 2004! Think about Duct Tape!

EDIT}}What I mean is, you don't have to go to sleep to have a nightmare, you have to wake up and there it is! Always the same one for almost 3 years now!

2. Rednecks on Ice...
Honestly, you should see rednecks on ice... The dividing point seems to be the Miss/Tenn border.

Rehearsal went really well, once me and the security guard got the lighting sorted out.

Here's the problem.

I'm playing with a band twice the size of the orchestra shown, so there's no room onstage for the console. I'm using the upstairs console shown in the lower picture. As you can see from the upper picture, there's limited line of sight from the console to where the conductor will be standing. My back is to the conductor so I need to use a little mirror to see him. I had to check to make sure the overlight lighting wasn't going to get in my eyes or bounce off the mirror.

Neither one of us knew the lighting console very well, so it took some experimenting to get the lighting how it will be for the performance.

I ended up having to duct tape the mirror to the console because the vibrations from the big 32 foot pipes kept rattling it out of position.
