Yahoo / Launch: "Christina Aguilera's Too-Close Encounter With Fan"
Christina Aguilera had a run-in with a drunken fan at a Hollywood night club recently, but her security staff came to the rescue. Christina was partying with her fiance, music executive Jordan Bratman, at a club called Mood when a fan approached her and allegedly became overly aggressive about getting her autograph. An eyewitness told the New York Post, "I looked over and Christina was standing on the couch and she was yelling at some guy: 'Get out! Get out!' Her security was holding her back and forcing the guy to leave. It caused a big scene." A representative for the petite singer said, "There was a drunk and unruly person at the club threatening Christina and he was removed."

In other news, Christina donated $16,000 to help fund an animal welfare project in her hometown of suburban Pittsburgh. The money was used to buy 40 microchip scanners for patrol cars of six local police departments that will help reunite lost pets with their owners. The scanners read data stored in tiny microchips injected under the skin of dogs, cats and other pets. Christina's mother, accompanied by the family's golden retriever Bowser, presented the scanners at a news conference Friday morning in the singer's hometown of Marshall, Pennsylvania. Christina has three dogs of her own -- a bull mastiff named KoKo and papillons named Chui and Stinky.

1. Dammit! Now I have to like something about her.
The scanner donation thing was a pretty cool thing for her to do.

The profits of which are going towards AIDS research, if I'm not mistaken.

3. Really? I hadn't even heard of this. Time to go Google...
If this is true, I have to rethink my entire Aguilera (sp?) disgust. Sigh.

From the Publisher
Christina Aguilera, Rachel Hunter, Jodie Kidd, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Macy Gray, Geri Halliwell and Serena Williams to name but a few, discard their designer outfits and strike a pose for the camera. All the pictures are taken by women too, in fact some of the world's best female photographers including Mary McCartney, Sam Taylor-Wood and Ellen von Unwerth. And yes, occasionally you can believe what you read in the tabloids—Sarah Ferguson does indeed appear within these pages, but it's all in the best possible taste and for a very good cause.
