It's umbrella number 1,677. I just can't hang on to umbrellas.

1. I hope it's not one of those giant ones...
like the size of a beach umbrella. I hate it when people walk on city streets with those things. They take up the entire sidewalk.

3. It's one of those small telescoping ones.
I don't like those big umbrellas, either. For the reason you said.

2. Umbrellas are for wimps.
I do keep one in the car, though. I usually give them away when I'm downtown during a downpour (someone is always caught out in the rain).

Buy some raingear- a decent raincoat would be far cheaper than 1,677 umbrellas. :D

4. you know where the first umbrellas were made in America?
Baltimore, Maryland.

We here in Maryland don't let tourists forget that.

6. I love John Waters too
Polyester and Pecker are two of my all time favorite movies. One of my best friends was in the movie Hairspray as an extra on that Dance TV show (cooky's, corky's --- I can't remember)

I used to live in Baltimore myself, and my dad and his whole family were old school white trash from Ballamer, Murlin

Baltimore---the most underrated city in America in my opinion. I love that town. Baltimore also has the US's best big city mayor---Martin O'Malley (D), who will, come 2006, be the governor of the great state of Maryland.

7. I buy jackets and slickers with hoods. I have saved a fortune on the
umbrellas I would have lost.
