Burned out and retreating to the lounge...

Is anyone else completely and utterly burned out on politics at the moment? I tried to go through the main boards and I found myself sick and tired of almost every subject being discussed.

Don't get me wrong! This is just a temporary malady. But I'm glad the Lounge is here!

I'm also dead tired. I've been trying to turn a Compaq Presario into a fully-functioning dedicated Linux desktop without really knowing the basics of Linux. I want to learn the basics, but I don't have $50 to spend on a good manual. The cheap ones I've read are pretty much glorified setup guides.

Can anyone suggest a good site for someone starting from scratch?

5. I'm Bushed, too! LOL.

I just can't find it in myself to stay angry and worked up all the time. I run out of adrenaline, have to take a break and be calm and peaceful. I LIKE calm and peaceful, too.
