Hey!! I saw "Enron" the "Movie" last night with 10 other people!
I realize it was made when folks "dared to question Bush" and think for that "time" it maybe "tipped around the edges of HUGE/VAST Bush Corruption...but even given that the movie is "old" it sort of seemed to give Ken Lay a "pass" and put the corruption on Skilling and Fastow.
The movie opens with the "Suicide of " (forget his name) and makes it seem that he suicided himself because he was a "bi-Polar." Yet, he was the only one who sold his stock for a paltry 34 Mil....while the rest were cashing out in the hundreds.
I'm glad I paid my admisstion to support this film...and understand that when it was made one was under the gun...not to say a bad word about the "Chimp" but probably because I've been upset since "Selection 2000" I got over-wrought that it wasn't as "hard hitting" as my "LEFTY" sensibilities would want.
Go see "ENRON!" It really does keep your interest and is fascinating and should be recommended to all FREEP's and those of your relatives who don't know what the hell we are complaining about. The music and graphics and leads ROCK!
It's defintely a move as an "INTRODUCTION" to what the Bushies/Enron are all about.
My review is based on my exprerience that I've gone WAY BEYOND this movie in what I know...
It would have had to be about 40 hours long. I thought they did a great job. I saw it the night it opened here a few weeks ago, and that was one ANGRY audience at the end. And I think they went after Lay just fine. He's going down.
