Am I the only one disgusted by GMC's "Memorial day sale"
I mena really how did they get away with this? Why are they being allowed?

but it does seem tasteless. As for being allowed, there's no law to stop it.

why should car dealerships be any different?

And I agree, it's tacky. Same goes for July 4.

If someone had a "Rememberance Day sale" up here they'd probably be boycotted.

5. It certainly does take the reverence
out of the day, in a community sense. Eventhough, individuals might do their best to carry on the tradition.

Yesterday after the church service, we finished up in the church graveyard. It's old enough to have a Revolutionary War veterans memorial. On of the older men was bemoaning the fact that there are so few veterans left who really remember what it's like to die in a war. There were precisely four of them left this year to go around and put flags on veterans' graves. And he's right.
