Three hurt in cheese rolling race

Three people have been hurt chasing a Double Gloucester down a steep slope at the annual cheese rolling contest.

The event, held every year on Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, involves competitors hurling themselves 200 metres down a steep hill.

The winner receives the 9lb Double Gloucester they risked life and limb to chase down the hill.

Organisers say three people were injured in this year's event, two with possible spinal injuries.

2. That can happen anywhere.
At least Gloucestershire doesn't have a cheese identification test as a condition of citizenship. Yet.
