Anyone tired of grocery stores lying?
I bought some sliced honey ham on the 23rd... I go to get some today and I read the package it says "BEst before May 27"
Seems to me it wasn't that long ago sliced ham lasted more than four days in the fridge.

1. Means it was slightly older when you bought it
But if you kept it well, it should still be good today.

4. I just ate some yogurt that was supposed to expire in March.
I smelled it first... no mold... so, down the hatch.

If I'm vomiting all night long, you'll know why...

6. The hard school of growing up with German supermarkets:
ALWAYS check the "best before" date first. Search behind the presented items, should the initial check fail. ;-).

7. the local grocery store is famous for putting sale prices in front of non-
sale items (which look quite similar) :wtf:

no... the product that is *really* on sale is actually one foot to the left :grr:

8. Irritated with the Kroger's near me
I like a certain kind of protein bar. I often eat these on weekday evenings as a supper replacement. They're convenient because I often don't feel like cooking.

Well, I went in there one day and saw that these bars were on sale for about 1/2 price. Great! I'll stock up. Got home ard realized the Experiation Date was DEC 2004. :grr: :grr:

I went and told the store manager about it and got some more of the good ones. That was about 3 weeks ago. I went in there last weekend and the old box of bars WAS STILL ON THE SHELF!

I don't think they will make anyone ill, you just wouldn't get the full nutrition out of them.

11. Or it means that the ham you bought wasn't full of shit chemicals
that unnaturally preserve its life.

You might actually be better off this way!

Deli meats don't last as long as the shit that you buy pre-packaged.
