3. I probably love Van Halen almost as much.
I even have a CD copy of "Complete Zero", the collection of demos sent to me by someone on www.classicvanhalen.com God they could make a seventh classic album with all those songs that never saw the light of day on an album. On that note, I leave you with this:

I told her "Never in hell, no special reason"
Musta lied 'cause I ain't leavin'
We're in for a very long night
Heard a vicious rumor from your mama's tongue
You a desperate woman, need a man with a gun
High crime zone, in the city o' lights

Baby please, can't take it anymore
Ah! Baby please, can't take it anymore

I'm takin' whiskey to the party tonight
And I'm lookin' for somebody to squeeze. Uh! Uh!
I hear you're lookin' for somebody to fight
Baby, don't get uptight
Baby please

Wanna see my ID? Try to clip my wings
Don't have to show you proof o' anything
I know the law, friend
At the 'leventh hour I'm goin' back outside
Ooh, give it a try. I'm your last loose end

Baby please, I can't take it anymore
Oh, baby please, I can't take it anymore

I'm takin' whiskey to the party tonight
An' I'm lookin' for somebody to squeeze. Uh! Uh! Uh!
Hear you're lookin' for somebody to fight
Baby, don't get uptight
Baby please
Yeah!

(Guitar Solo)

Wow!

Oooh, baby
Oooh, baby
Oooh, baby

Uh feel my heartbeat
Feel my heartbeat
Feel my heartbeat
Oh, yeah

Feel my heartbeat
Feel my heartbeat (Ah)
Feel my heartbeat
Feel my heartbeat
Feel my heartbeat

Baby please, I can't take it anymore. Oh!
Yeah, baby please, (Ah-ha!) I can't uh take it anymore (Wow!)
Baby please, can't take it anymore
Whoa baby please, (Yeah) I can't take it anymore. Whoa!

I'm takin' whiskey to the party tonight
An' I'm lookin' for somebody to squeeze. Uh! Oh! Ow!
Hear you're lookin' for somebody to fight
Baby, don't get uptight
Baby please, yeah!
Baby please

5. Complete Zero has to be one of the best VH boots around.
Tragically, there are so few decent live recordings - except for the ones Eddie's tight ass has locked up in a vault somewhere.

13. Are you familiar with the "Women and Children First Sessions".
Someone on CVH.com was talking about them and I am trying to negotiate for him to burn me a copy of that. Same person who sent me "Complete Zero".

16. It's interesting to listen to, but nowhere near the quality of "Zero"
I think some of the demos on that disc are actually older than the WACF sessions themselves. There's a demo of "In a Simple Rhyme" that goes back to before Mikey was in the band. I don't remember if that's the one on the WACF sessions disc or not. If it ain't got Mikey's harmonies, then you know it's the older version.

8. Maybe someone should send you a copy of "Complete Zero".
I listen to that as much as any of their albums. From the days before they made it big. In studio demos with a whole bunch of songs that they wrote and performed that never saw the light of day. They are every bit as good as anything they put on their albums.

12. You should ask around at the Army about where to seed "Complete Zero".
I don't want to get into it here because Agent Mike might have friends among the RIAA nazis.

15. Agent Mike is DU's "friend" in the Secret Service
He lurks here all the time, making sure nobody says anything too bad against poor Emperor Chimpatine.

Hi Agent Mike :hi:

7. I was into VH from 1984 up until Balance.
A pretty nice run of albums there. I was a big Hagar fan before he joined VH, so that was as good as it got with 5150, OU812, and F.U.C.K. So I'm probably not as big a fan as you (I sure didn't buy VH 3), but I did appreciate their stuff.

But let me try this one out on you: What is "Doughnut City"? I'll be quite impressed if you know.

9. Doughnut City was an instrumental Eddie did for the Wild Life Soundtrack
Edited on Fri May-27-05 10:28 PM by AntiCoup2K4
It sounds more like Loverboy than Van Halen.

But then, so did a lot of the Van Hagar catalog :puke:

And don't even get me started on VDIII

17. Despite all that and the fact that Hagar is a Freepazoid...
...I will give him credit for Montrose, particularly the first album.

18. The first Montrose album is maybe the best 70s rock album
Outside of Led Zeppelin, of course.
