2. That's inflation!
When I were that sort of age, a front tooth netted me 10 pence! I think it might have been 50 pence for a molar.

and I know my son will get $1 with every tooth he puts under the pillow. Inflation or no inflation... I'm not starting econ lessons with him this early in life and neither is his tooth fairy!!

which used to be on MTV in the late 90's, they had a tooth fairy puppet that was a pair of needle nosed pliers in an angel costume.
