5. uh oh i might get flamed
but i agree to a certain extent that people are to quick to label kids with ADHD and Depression so they give them meds. My son was having issues "focusing" in school and his dad was shit hot to put him on meds but i did lots of research on the subject. Some of it was diet related and when i changed the way he ate it did get better. It was stated in Super Size Me that diet makes a huge difference in behavior.

I think as far as the Psychs go, there are good ones and bad ones like in any other line of work.

6. Agreed
I was a teacher for a while, and saw all too often drugs being used by parents as a supplement for discipline and...well...parenting.

7. OMG you just replied to me
holy shit..i'm shakin' here. You're kind of a celeb around my house. It's always Will Pitt wrote this or Will Pitt wrote that.

Sorry, Ive got my shit back together now. I worked at a Middle School clinic for a year in a suburb of Dallas. We had more kids on meds than any other school in the district (32 schools) when i was there. I couldn't believe some of the drugs these kids were taking for depression, aggression, OCD, ADD, ADHD, bi-polar. Now some of the kids really needed them like the bi-polar kid. He was downright scary sometimes but the others, i look at them now as they will graduate HS on Sunday with my daughter. They were no different than any other kid at 12 and 13 going through MS hell but by gawd if one of them couldn't sit still in class the teacher had them in the clinic asking us to call the parents to see if he/she had taken the morning meds. Parents sometimes use the drugs as a way to take the easy way out of parenting IMO. Its really "hard work" to be a good parent and it takes lots of patience and consistency and some parents just cant deal with it today with 2 working households, soccer games etc....
