7. JPEG BATTLE! Dick blocks your "Attack Cat" with his "Rabies Shot":

And once your Attack Cat is neutralized, Dick counter-attacks with the seldom-seen, greatly FEARED, "Step away from the Coon-Chow and you won't get hurt" jpeg:

8. Lol!
when I had an outdoor kitty, I had no less than 25 raccoons living in the backyard! My cat Jasper was so mellow, he'd eat his kibble sandwiched between a raccoon and a possum. Some of the 'coons were so tame that they would come into the house and drink out of the toilet! They really are fairly laid back animals-not the vicious beasts that pest control companies want us to believe that they are.

10. Yes, very true. Raccoons are smart and adaptable as any primate.
The Raccoon in that photo is a regular on our porch; we call her 'Banditte'.

She is actually just YAWNING in that photo; she knows me well enough to take food from my hand. And to let me stand 3 feet away taking flash photos while she eats!

We also have several Opossum regulars.

11. Several years ago I had one
in the backyard I named Justin who was also VERY friendly (he had grown up around me-though his mom was quite wild). Justin would beg for food by standing up on his hind legs as I came out of the house, then falling backwards onto his back like he had been shot! He would then assume the "praying sea otter" pose until I dumped some kibble on his tummy (I have photos around here somewhere...). It was just too cute! He was such a good natured little guy that one evening while my boyfriend and I were fixing dinner on the grill I came out of the house to find him scratching Justin behind the ears-and Justin was leaning his head into his hand like a happy dog. I said "you do know that that's a wild animal, right"? just as Justin saw me and flopped over into the sea otter position. Really cracked us up!
