Are any of those "quick loans till next payday" loans legit?
I was checking my email, and saw this: http://www.paydayok.com

Anybody ever use these? Any of them legit? Or rather, is there one that doesn't try so much to get you with fees?

2. They are horrible!!
They will RAPE you with high interest rates.

I do believe that they will actually get you a "loan" but you will be paying ALOT in interest, more than high rate credit cards from what I understand.

5. Yup, seemed a little *too* good to be true, ya know?
The place I linked to in my original post seems to be legit, but I *know* there are hidden fees somewhere and I'll probably end up paying twice what I borrowed from them.

Thanks for the feedback, it just reinforces what I've been thinking.

3. short term personal loans. very high risk, very high rates.
avoid them unless it's a dire emergency. for instance, if you're mugged on payday and the mugger takes you there at gunpoint.

otherwise, nearly any other loan will be more economical, even credit card advances.

4. They sure seemed to be prevalent during the 80's and early 90's...

...but seemed to disappear from '93 to 2000.

Are they back again?;)

8. They are all loan sharks.
And some even use loan shark collection techniques.

There is not one that is legit.

There is not one that will not rip you off for FAR more than they say they will.

Stay away.
