A FORMER storage cupboard is being let in London for ��135 a week, it emerged today.

Measuring just 62 square feet, the converted cupboard could well be the smallest flat in the capital.

Its living space is just 7ft 6in by 3ft 4in - into which a kitchenette, shower room and wardrobe space have been squeezed.

The bed is on a raised platform measuring just 7ft 6in by 3ft and is reached using a ladder.

Imagine paying more than ��100,000 for a 300 sq ft flat and having to throw out half your clothes to fit into it.
This was reality for 23-year-old sales negotiator Francesca Osborne when she bought her flat in London's Islington 18 months ago. She paid ��108,000, and at last count the flat was worth ��155,000, despite its diminutive dimensions.

She is not alone in paying prices that, to many, will seem silly for tiny homes. Agents say that there are more buyers chasing small flats than properties available. This is just as well because the Microflat - a trademarked blueprint of a super-svelte living space, which is big on design and small on expense - is being hailed as one solution to Britain's inner city housing crisis.

10. The capsule hotels aren't really all that cheap.

They are, however, very conveniently located, and allow traveling businessmen to stay very close to their destination or major station to avoid delays and high cab fares.

A great way to save money on hotels in Japan is to stay at a "Love Hotel"

The rates are significantly lower and the rooms are spacious, if a bit over-the-top.

I would never want to live like that way. Can you imagine if your stove or "hot plate" was right underneath your bed? Gross. Your bed would constantly smell like food.

8. Now, it says 'shower room'. What does that mean? Is there a

toilet there, or just a shower stall, or something? I couldn't live in this space under any circumstances, I don't think, but I would never want to have to go down the hall and share a bathroom with strangers. :scared:

15. Try Cambridge, MA

Friend of mine bought a 277 sq ft condo in Cambridge for $175,000, and that was cheaper than some of the others he saw. Next door to his is one that's 240 sq ft, and that sold for $150,000.
