Mmmm.. picture of my first pie ever made.

Well I got ambitious and had a craving for Raisin pie... my grandma used to make it famously before she passed away and I have only had it but a few times since she died about 5 years ago. It was my favorite pie evarrrr...although alot of people hate raisins. Smeh... It tasted great and I think it turned out good.

My Mennonite grandmother (lost her 5 years ago also) was a helluva great cook too-her strawberry rhubarb, blueberry, and butterscotch pies were amazing (grew her own fruit, too)! Hmmm....maybe you've inspired me to bake this weekend...

4. I can scarcely believe that THIS is your first pie!

You must have the knack for baking...I was troubled for many years with the crust burning around the edge. I finally found a round thing that shields the pie crust and it helps a lot.

Your pie looks wonderful. I bet it smelled good while it was baking...Just toasting raisin bread smells good, never mind a whole pie! Happy Eating!
