3. One flaw in you joke the families of the Papal Guard do live in
apartments in the Vatican City. So someone can grow up in the Vatican City.

6. I got thrown out of the Sistine Chapel
Edited on Thu May-26-05 01:35 AM by Yupster
I went to college in Europe and went to Rome as part of a five day art history class field trip. When we got to the Sistine Chapel, my art history professor kept calling us to huddle up (about 15 of us) and she would point stuff out to us. The security people came and shushed us telling us it was a church.

This went on about four times before they asked us to leave. Pretty ebarrassing because I agreed with the security guys. She was too loud and it was disrespectful, especially the third and fourth times.

On edit - on that same trip, two of our students were arrested for swimming drunk in the revi Fountain. They were kept in jail for two days before an embassy official got the charges dropped with the agreement that the two students would immediately leave Italy.

This was back in 1980.
