I always thought the detecting electriciy was really cool too.

another thing I always think is the coolest in the world (not platypuss related), is BIOLUMINESCENCE! Fireflies, luminescent mushrooms, all those cool things. (I've only ever seen lightning bugs---ooooo, I love them so much. They're magic)

I always am reminded of the great cartoon by Charles Addams. It showed 2 unicorns, standing on a shoreline nearly engulfed by water, with the rain hurling down; and in the distance, the ark, floating away...
