ASK ALICE! Please! Call Alice! Please! I think she'll know!
Go Ask Alice
------Jefferson Airplane

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all

Go ask Alice
When shes ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall

Tell them the hookah-Smoking caterpillar
has given you the call
Call Alice when she was just small
When the men on the chess board get up and tell you where to go

And you just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen so I'll be dead
And the white knight's talking backwards
And the Red Queen Says off with her head
Remember what the doorknob said

Feed your head
Feed your head

Echoing in the gorge tonight. AT 98 dB. Great R&R
night on the mountain!

Mac

1. When logic and proportion
have fallen sloppy dead ...

I believe that's the actual line from the song.

When my (now college age) kids act up at the dinner table, all I have to do is sing a few bars of "White Rabbit" and they beg for mercy.

:hippie:

4. OMG--I just heard that song today
on the radio. It was enough to induce flashbacks. I remember listening to it over & over while stoned out of my mind while standing down in a 1st Cav basecamp in 1967.

20. I remember Anh Khe, but was actually thinking of LZ Uplift,
out in the Nui Mieu Mountains near the little village of Phu My.

Were you ever at Bong Son? Remember guard duty on the Bong Son bridge?

I was Co. B, 2/5 Cav.

10. Exceedingly trivial correction:
It's actually dormouse.

(By the way, your sig-cat looks exactly like my oversized feline doorstop...except that mine rarely sits upright.]

18. This song makes me nostolgic for a time I didn't live through.
For me it encompasses the late 60's from Vietnam to the Hippyfests without being about any of it. If that makes sense. I love the song.
