:-) Chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips right now for work. New recipe my momma found...they aren't bad. Later tonight, ginger cookies to help settle my best friend's tummy. :) Somebody bring over some milk.

I use my momma's recipe so they have TJ Blackburn can syrup in them instead of molasses (it's an East Texas thing). Makes them a bit lighter and very very ooey-gooey and wonderful right out of the overn.

10. I promise they made it to the car.
I'm really sorry. :( OK, not THAT sorry, since I got half the cookies to myself, but still somewhat sorry.

It was all an evil plot. I for one never thought I would have a chance to sample a Velma cookie.

8. Ginger cookies are my favorite too
My momma taight me make them when I was little and now I make them for my best friend. She has health problems and the meds she's on upset her stomach something fierce. Ginger helps settle it down and ginger cookies are her favorite way of injecting more ginger into her bloodstream. :)

17. I like the crystalized ginger, too
It has a bite but it works fast. Not as enjoyable as the Ginger cookie, though! You are wonderful to care for your friend so "sweetly" but now you make me want to bake something!

20. I agree on the baking
and crystalized ginger is a sugar-coated ginger you can buy in natural food shops. You pinch off a bit and chew it and it really helps with nausea. :)

16. That sounds like an interesting combination
I love just about anything with chocolate and peanut butter chips in it. You know what else is good in oatmeal cookies...raisins and those cinnamon chips. Yummmmmmmmmm.
