...for a country chick, she does have a pretty powerful voice coming out of her tiny little (very cute) self. I noticed it when she sand that "We are young.. heartache to heartahce, we stand.."... Love is a Battlefield.. that's what it is. I think she does better when she does that 80's retro rock (al Blondia) then when she does her country stuff. (Maybe it's because I don't really like country)

However, Bo just flat out OWNS the stage.

He is unstoppable. He has that "born to be a star" factor.

...with such a broad brush...you might be surprised. ronnie van zandt was quite liberal for his time. they played the southern states with black musicians at a time when that was a no-no. read some of his old interviews...the slam on neil young in the song "sweet home alabama" was about young pre-judging all southerners for the sins of the past, while many, like van zandt himself, were trying to move it ahead...it seems you are following mr. youngs lead with your broad strokes on not only the southern bands, but the south itself....and southern men don't need you around anyhow...to coin a famous quote....you being from OK should know this first hand....

The writer, Gretchen Peters, is probably a Democrat. Carrie also might be, based on what I've read about her being a page for a Democrat. It's about being free from an abusive relationship.

That said, I'm rooting for Bo. Carrie is attractive and has a good, if flawed voice - but Bo is my fave in talent. Bo might not be Eddie Vedder, but he's pretty close.

He just owns the stage, his presence is of someone not in a talent competition, but of someone who has already made it. He makes it look easy.

Plus I love the fact that he brought that southern rock flavor into American Idol instead of all the R&B and what not that a lot of the contestants usually sing.
