8. Can we please have BOB ROBERTS on it. It is so important for today
Tim Robbins story of a folk singing neo-con before there were neo-cons manipulating his way to the US Senate. It came out in like '92 and it is basically the story of the rise of GWB.

26. I think it is definitely a lost classic.
I saw it twice in the theaters that year and I think I was about 17-18. It had a huge impact on me politically because I'd always heard this shit about the liberal media but I never really saw it in action. Then I realized it was largely bullshit. Ollie North basically got a free pass in his senate run. Why? "Bob Roberts" help me answer those questions.

It also has Jack Black in one of his first roles as a starry-eyed fascist supporter of Roberts.

Apparently so few have seen it.

Hey Ian I think we might be the only two people to see this movie.
I rented it mainly because of Eddie Deezen, he cracks me up,
and the fact the director shot it on Super 8 film. Although I
don't think I would include that on my favorites list.

I kind of like it, because it was silly, but it was a little too trippy sometimes.

61. My Top Ten -- today's anyway.
I'm a film junkie, and even trying to limit this list to ten is liable to blow a few hundred brain cells from sheer overload.

Taking the Letterman "Top 10" approach, we start with number ten and work our way to the Absolute Top, #1 Movie. I've listed some cast for older or slightly obscure films; if you don't know 'em, check into 'em.

10. His Girl Friday (1940 - Cary Grant, Rosalind Russell)
9. King Kong (1933)
8. Hopscotch (1980 - Walter Matthau, Glenda Jackson, Ned Beatty, Sam Waterston)
7. My Favorite Year (1982 - Peter O'Toole, Mark Linn-Baker)
6. Singin' in the Rain (1952)
5. The Great Escape (1963)
4. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
3. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
