Gross.

Need to figure out a way to be independently wealthy and retire.

1. Aren't there rules against that
under the general "cruel and unusual punishment" heading?

2. It should be a rule. Everyone shows up in the foulest of moods.
Can't we do it at 10am after we've had a chance to screw around and wake up?

3. I'm a freelancer (aka "self-employed")
My clients are duly warned *once* that calling my home office before 9am will likely result in me not making sense on the phone and being harrumphed about it. Seems to work so far. :)

4. Well, I haven't been in the office since last monday. I work from
home the rest of the week. Occassionally go back in on friday morns. Still cannot stand seeing the boss first thing.

7. I know what you mean
My last boss was the worst manager in known space - he loved to call team meetings, made them mandatory, and expected us to be lively and participate with big smiles on our faces.

As much of a beast as he was, he never dared have one early in the am, much less on a Monday. We would have torn him to bits, buried him alive, and fed what was left to the effing crows. :P

9. My manager is like that too. We call her the Bosshole.
She's an absolute moron. Formally our peer and recently promoted. First time manager, non-stop pain in the arse.

10. Hmmm...ya don't think
my bossbot had gender reassignment surgery, do ya? Because my boss used to be one of the grunts as well, and he was decent at it. Picked as team leader because of his prodigious talent for telling the department manager exactly what she wanted to hear, he helped her run the place into the ground until the whole dept was nuked two and a half years ago. Sigh.

11. Oh my God. They are the same person.
That's all she ever does...kiss ass. She was an awful sales person and we were mystified when she was promoted.

6. That's what I'm saying! Nobody is productive or motivated at 8am on
Monday and the boss isn't motivating in the least which makes it worse.

8. Exactly.
And what's up with these power breakfasts? Seems everyone would do better with another hour or two of sleep.
