Lest we forget: The "Star Wars Holiday Special."
I guess the downside to surrendering your director's fee in exchange for merchandising and sequel rights, is that a network can get away with producing this travesty:

1. Best. Site. Ever.
Crappiest. Special. Ever.

Both Jefferson Starship and Bea Arthur don't fail to dissapoint.

2. I love Wrestlecrap.
I'm not into wrestling anymore, but I still go there to see all the lousy gimmicks from times past. And there were some terrible ones.

4. Good freakin' luck!
You may be able to score one on E-Bay. Lucas himself said he would like to hunt down every last copy of the special and destroy them. I don't blame him. :puke:

6. I watched this when it originally aired, and I LOVED it
I even wept when the little Wookiee got his room trashed and his toys broken.

What can I say? I was young, sensitive, and in love with all things Star Wars.

7. I don't remember that special at all.
I know it was on but I don't recall watching it. Back then we had only one TV and I am sure my mom would not have indulged my Star Wars obessession that eagerly.

8. See, this damned paradox bugs me.
I know it's "Life Day", and all, but let's admit here and now that it's actually a Christmas special.

So I need to ask the same question I asked of the Flintstones Christmas Special:

:How the fuck can you celebrate Christmas before Christ was supposedly born?!"

With the Flintstones, they live in B.C.. Get this: "B.C." actually stands for "Before Christ"! So what the fuck?

And with Star Wars, they're supposedly living 'a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away'... so unless by 'a long time ago', they mean 1000 A.D., and by 'a galaxy far, far away' they mean the Middle East or maybe some parts of Europe, they wouldn't have an idea what Christmas is, let alone how to celebrate it.

Fuckin' hacks.

I'd watched it, it kept repeating, and I couldn't get away from it. :scared:
