10. That's what I had always thought. But then I saw Episode 3 and found out

that Anakin, who becomes Darth Vader, gets a sex change and concieves a set of twins, Luke and Leia. Turns out ObiWan is the father. He and Anakin finally express their true feelings in what is, quite frankly, a very disturibing and poorly written scene. It goes on for fifteen minutes. Very graphic.

Then, just before becoming evil, Anakin turns back into a man and is attacked by a jealous, confused and sexually frustrated ObiWan. The damage done to Anakin causes him to have to use the prosthetics and life support systems of the Darth Vader costume.

So, turns out that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father in name only. He is really Luke's mother.

Apparently Lucas wasn't comfortable with Vader delivering the line "I am your mother," so it was edited out and replaced with "father" just before Empire was released.

That's why when you see Luke on Bespin, he is terrified and confused at the revelation, and yells "No! It's not possible!"
