need some columbus (oh) help

relocating to ohio from memphis in like 3 weeks. my wife and i are having a difficult time finding the right area. everything around 125k looks like 2 story trailers. we really don't have help there besides the realtors. can any of you blue staters pass some advice? if i move by you, i promise not to hang my michigan flag in the front yard. ;p

1. I used to live in Grandview Heights...a centrally located area off

of Goodale, not far from OSU campus. The homes are older, but it used to be a peaceful and pretty area.

a lot more character than newer homes i think.

5. Are you trying to avoid the 'burbs?

I lived in the C-bus from '86 to '93, then in the summer until '98, so I know it pretty well. PM me with what you're looking for and I can probably point you in the right direction.

I'm not sure what prices have done, but Grandview is nice (as stated above), as is German Village and the Short North.
