3. 60's the new 50
People keep telling me 30's the new 20, so the mathematics should work all the way up.

10. no, no, no!
60 is the new 30.

i'm going to be 54 in a few weeks, and i am determined to never grow old.

besides, didn't i just read an article saying that in 20 years they will be able to stop, and even REVERSE, ageing?

well, i am going to hold them to it. i'll be 74, and they can reverse me back to my 40s. that would be fine with me. anything younger is when you were still young and stupid, but just didn't realize it.

:-)

congratulations! and happy bidet!

5. The alternative is ...
NOT turning 60 ... if you know what I mean. :scared:

It's just a number ... forget about it and CELEBRATE!

7. Have a great birthday! I'm not far behind you,but the events of the
last few years have shown me that age is not important as long as you can keep up the good fight and remember what your principles are.

Don't celebrate, and the day after tomorrow, you're still 59. It's the law.

11. Those "decade" birthdays are tough -- I know. But --
you're just a kid! I'm going to be 67 on May 31st. The best advice is keep healthy, keep active, and keep interested. Enjoy life and enjoy your family!

My 4-year-old grandson and I go to a swimming pool here in Oregon. It's a pool that caters to disabled people -- I see them at all ages -- cerebral palsy, stroke, car accidents, you name it.

Every time I finish my swim with him, I'm so grateful that I'm alive and healthy and so is he.

In peace,

Radio Lady

But then I don't know if you are married or not.

Go buy yourself something REALLY nice and revel in the joy of its utter fabulousness! :-) (ON EDIT: i.e., refer to post # 13 above)

I just turned 41 today and showered myself with a new garage door opener (and yes, the idea of what qualifies as fabulous changes radically as one ages!) :-)

Have a super day!

I always welcome each new birthday as a triumph over all the evil bastards who have been doing their damndest to blow us all up. Ha! I'm still here! (And they're getting older too.)

26. Hey, Hardrada!
"Each new birthday as a triumph over all the evil bastards..." This is perfect, IMHO! I'm with you on this one; I'll be 62 in November, and I feel if not great, well then, at least pretty good! It certainly beats the alternative...lol!

Has been twice-divorced, been widowed, and, undiscouraged, is now in a serious relationship with a guy who's 70 and she is full as ever with energy and energetic harebrained schemes to drive people (especially me) bananas!!

you are having your 30th anniversay of your 30th birthday...

I'll be having my 20th anniversay of my 30th birthday in July... :)
yeah it bothers me a bit. 40 didn't bother me because there was so much other crap going on in my life at that time.... but my 20th anniversay of my 30th birthday is another story... and I'm dreading getting AARPed... (receiving AARP info in the mail in my name....)

I hit the big 60 a few years ago. As long as you feel younger, you shouldn't let it bother you. And if your health is good, that is a big plus. Happy birthday.
