I've lost 3 great shows:

American Dreams
Blind Justice

How about you ?

1. I'm bummed that Third Watch ended though I don't know if it was
cancelled... and still bummed that NYPD Blue is over too.

At least there are still some good new shows (LOST) and some good oldies (ER, LAW & ORDER) and my favorite EVERWOOD.

3. American Dreams
I hate that I was so upset about them cancelling my little show that I wrote them. I usually don't bother, but I liked that show.

I'm also upset about Jack and Bobby. I only got to see the first few because they moved to when it would go up against West Wing. I was looking forward to seeing it now that WW has been put out to pasture, I mean moved.

17. Yeah- cancel American Dreams but leave Fear Factor ?
WTH

Not to mention all the stuff that you'll never know:

What happened to Meg. Did she leave w/ Chris or come back ? What might have happened with Sam.

Did JJ become an astronaut ?

Did Patty finally stop being a brat ?

Did Jack stick it to the corrupt policeman ?

Did Pete and Shelley finally get together, completely ?

Woe is us :(

43. What happened to Meg (IMO)
Edited on Thu May-19-05 06:53 AM by LostinVA
She hung out in Berkeley, got a bit freaky, and met this weirdly charismatic guy named Charlie, who lived with a librarian named Mary Brunner. Meg went back to his apartment, but got really bad vibes, and left. She got even more involved in the anti-war movement, but smartly got rid of Chris when she FINALLY realized he was a major tool and discovered he was into "free love" with other people. She enrolled in Berkley. She really missed her family, and finally Jack got a frigging CLUE and he and Helen (who rocks) come to Berkley. He sees Meg leading a demonstration on campus, and even though he doesn't agree with her views, he is FINALLY PROUD of her, her intelligence, her spirit, her passion... Sam comes and visits, he and Meg are like hey man, this is BERKELEY. He transfers there and he and Meg finally allow themselves to fall in love.....

Henry and that nice woman get married. Nathan's business becomes like U-Haul, and he builds Henry a nice house in Berks County or Cherry Hill and Angela goes to a nice school.

Pete gets shot by a MOVE member years later, although he's half-dead from alcoholism already.

Also, Beth also got a clue and divorced JJ.

4. I did not know they canceled Eyes
I will miss it, and, yes, American Dreams.

Two programs that did not fit into the safe format. And, I suppose, ABC got spoiled by the immediate success of "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."

Tim Daly as Harlan Judd was priceless. A Tailor-made role for him, and now it's gone.

But don't worry- there's still Extreme Makeover- Home Edition !

26. What is interesting is that a few weeks ago when they bumped
Eyes for the "expose" about Paula Abdul, I thought that it was a one time event. After all, TV Guide listed Eyes in the following two weeks.

But this is May "sweep" month so the affairs of Paul Abdul are preferred to a good show where the events are not being spoon fed.

"Joan" and "Judging Amy" were two of the best-written, most realistic slice-of-life shows TV offered. I am sad....

*cries* Not my Joan of Arcadia! It figures they'd run Touched by an Angel into the ground, but not even give Joan a fighting chance? And Judging Amy was always a guilty pleasure of mine.

Bet you at least one of them is replaced by a "reality TV" series.

14. "Jack and Bobbby"
Every poly-sci class in the country should watch some episodes of that show--it was truly an amazing gift. Fortunately, they had an inkling that it might not go the distance, so they tied off a lot of the loose ends in the season finale.

Trust me, when it comes out on DVD, rent it--you'll be glad you did.

19. Well
I'm most disappointed with Doc and Sue Thomas FB Eye. Yeah, I watch Pax for these shows, and for Young Blades. Yes, they're not exactly liberal or secular fare. But yeah, I don't really care. The shows are fun, even if they border on fantasy, and that's why I like them. :)

There are others, but these two the most.

22. Not cancelled- just "reshuffled"
will be on the fall schedule- later. . . .

ie: mid-season replacement, one foot in the grave syndrome. NBC is trying to kill it by moving it.

:bounce:

Although Sarah Chalke is gone and I liked her crazed Dr. part.

NBC has been dicking with Scrubs for a couple of years now because it's not dumb enough for the majority of their line up. I love this show mainly because it lacks a laugh track SO the viewer doesn't need to be instructed on when to laugh. This show constantly makes me chuckle and at times laugh out loud.

Viva la Scrubs.

Too gritty even for a cable channel.

Carnival freak shows got banned. I knew bringing them back even in this form wouldn't last long. If they'd set the Brother Justin story lines in another way, THAT would last.

DAMN YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!!!!!!

Let me put it in other terms, terms that I'm sure HBO will understand as Deadwood is their new darling (as evidenced by the fact that whenever I turn my tv on, that's what is on) - YOU COCKSUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only other show I watched religiously from HBO is the Sopranos and it's probably going to be another 12 years before it comes on. I may have to cancel them. Bastards.
