14. I think there are two kinds of music

Those that guys (mainly) listen to, and those that women listen to. Air Supply, especially, is chicks' music. You'll find a lot of smaltzy, love/romantic music on women's lists, but you'll find weird songs that don't even make sense on men's lists.

Now this is just a generalization, so don't go getting your knickers in a wad. But everytime we do some kind of a music thread, it seems my generation of women (at any rate!) prefers ballads, rock/folk, melodious tunes, and "story" tunes. Not to say we're not the only ones, but really, how many guys can stomach listening to Blowing in the Wind, for example, Seasons in the Sun, Honey, Dreams of the Everyday Housewife, I'm All Out of Love, How Can I Tell Her, Moon River, etc.? Yes, they're all picks from at the very least, 30 years ago, but that's my point. Some of us still listen to that stuff because so much of the new stuff is toxic to our ear drums.
