2. We evolved as hunters.
We don't get to hunt giraffes and mammoths anymore, so video games are the next best thing. ;-)

5. Well, I own a Playstation 2, but I haven't turned it on in over a year
:).

I also own a computer capable of playing some kick ass games, but rarely use it for that purpose.

However, my screen name comes from my videogaming days when I went by Eric The Awful for online video gaming :)

14. Nope, first person shooters :)
I never found an online RPG that I actually thought was fun.

I played one game of video golf at matcom's house last month. That's it.

9. I Don't Get It.
I waste enough time on the computer.
Who has enough time to burn on a silly video game?

11. I don't play 'em.
We've got a PS2 and although my son has the Need for Speed series, it doesn't hold my interest at all. Video arcades are boring to me.

Too geezer-fied, I guess.

I find them boring, except for the Myst/Riven/Obsidian puzzle-oriented games. And even then, I haven't played one in 3-4 years.

13. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but there are a few I really like.
The Grand Theft Auto Games, Gran Turismo 4 and the Sims come to mind.

Hell, I hardly even watch T.V. and don't even get me started on what a waste of time pro sports are.

18. I only play racing games
on the consoles. I like my FPS games on the PC.

I hardly play them anymore, but sometimes when I'm stressed out it's nice to take an Acura NSX or a Super Seven around a track a few times.

Gran Turismo 4 is my current flavor of choice

20. Other: Used to play
I used to play the turn-based games like Civilization. I don't have the time or inclination or skill to play the newer games. I'm pretty much restricted to the occasional 5-minute game of solitaire or mah jongg.

21. Not me. I stare at a computer screen all day, and
don't need to be doing it at night, too.

Besides, video games simply hold no interest for me. (The only one I ever liked was Robotron 2084, and the computer version of that isn't like the old arcade game.)

I'd rather shoot pool. Or play foosball. Or air hockey.

23. I still have an Atari 2600
That's about the level of gaming I'm into. Just a simple leisure activity. I'll never have the time to be obsessed with some RPG game like Everquest or Warcraft like some friends I know.To them it's not a game, it's a lifestyle.

24. I used to be a hardcore arcade gamer
I could pull 57,000,000+ on that old Kickman console from Bally with at least 26 extra lives to spare. I probably should've gone for a record, but nobody at that arcade ever beat my score.

It was hard to find an arcade game I didn't enjoy playing at least once. That's when the first laser disc games like Dragon's Lair and Cliff Hanger came around - I loved how on Williams' Star Rider you could actually change the image on the disc by turning your handlebars from side to side.

Nowadays, I think Williams only makes casino games. I can see the business sense - why make a stand-up console that some whiz kid can play for two hours on a single quarter when you can sink that R&D into developing a nine-liner that costs a minimum of five cents a pop - and how many gamblers ALWAYS bet the maximum amount on each spin?

26. I play occasionally, 'till...
I get so pissed at the asshole stuff that the designers pull that I try to break something.

Did you know that the old rectangular Nintendo controllers could be bent to a 90degree angle and would mostly spring back and keep working like nothing had happened? Me neither, Cool huh?

I also didn't know that it was possible for me to grip something so tightly that my fingernails would split under the strain. Not so cool...
