The most important is the salt, they told me.

I never use salt water for anything but mouth piercings. Too much of a risk with the salt crystallizing in the fresh hole.

There's some chemical in Bactine that can serve as a medium for bacterial growth.

Bacterial growth is bad, m'kay?

That "ear care solution" they sell at places like Claire's is almost the same thing as Bactine, but the chemical that can grow bacteria isn't in it. It's also made for healing puncture wounds.

The hot water with salt is good. And the soap is good--if you can get Provon soap, use that.

For instance, you don't want it to be in a certain picture or a job says no piercings other than ears, then can you remove it without a large looking hole? Just curious! I have 3 in each ear, but I never was into any other body piercings.
