Favorite song ever: Big hit single division
After much consideration, I go with "In Your Eyes," Peter Gabriel. And you?

5. Not sure it was a hit, big or otherwise, but it certainly is a great song
I liked the version on MTV Unplugged in New York; not sure I ever heard the studio version.

and was a major Badfinger fan back in the day. How's it go? When did it come out?

17. Bet D.I.D. means Badfinger's "No Matter What"
Edited on Wed May-18-05 08:23 PM by gmoney
(Has a key lyric "won't you" and "want you" -- Great song... pretty sure this it the one McCartney gave them)

No matter what you are
I will always be with you
Doesn't matter what you do girl, oh girl with you

No matter what you do
I will always be around
Won't you tell me what you found girl, oh girl won't you

Knock down the old gray wall, and be a part of it all
Nothing to say, nothing to see, nothing to do
If you would give me all, as I would give it to you
Nothing would be, nothing would be, nothing would be

No matter where you go
There will always be a place
Can't you see in my face girl, oh girl don't you

Knock down the old brick wall, and be a part of it all
Nothing to say, nothing to see, nothing to do
If you would give me all, as I would give it to you
Nothing would be, nothing would be, nothing would be

No matter what you are
I will always be with you
Doesn't matter what you do girl, oh girl want you
Oh girl, you girl, want you
Oh girl, you girl, want you

18. You are correct
Didn't know McCartney gave 'em a song--makes perfect sense that this could be it. First time I heard it (loooong after it was first released), I thought it was Wings.

19. Our copy of the single was very warped, so I still hear it that way a bit
Fortunately I like it like that. "No Matter What" was written by its singer, Pete Ham. "Come And Get It" was the one that Paul McCartney gave them.
