I'm watching the episode of "24" that I taped last night.
It seems interesting how they depict the Secretary of Defense's Son, who appears once again as a whiny dirty hippie type. What is with that? I'm just saying.

1. I thought the original premise of the show
was that they were supposed to find a killer and the show was supposed to be within 24 hours or something.

I didn't know it was going to turn into some sort of glamorization of violence for the homeland security dept. or be a way to have a show that fights terrorists regularly. Of course this is FOX so it's to be expected but that's why I will probably never tune into 24.

3. Well, the second season was pretty anti-Bush.
This season had some of those elements too. Though, I feel that they wrote his character in a very bad way.

7. Was I right in hearing "nukular" in the promos?
I pointed this out to Mrs. ZBDent. Quite a while back, she didn't understand why I thought that good diction should be a quality in a pResident. We had the discussion of "nukular" vs "nuclear".

2. You forgot

bi or gay, along with deceptively irresponsible. I was wondering about that myself.

I've only been watching for about a month. I like espionage stories, but this show doesn't exactly fit our politics, does it. I like BBC's MI5 better.

4. You forgot that his son is now a
gay, terrorist supporting hippie type.

I turned it off soon after that "revelation."

8. I like the show, although this season has been over the top
There's just been too much stuff crammed in this year (day): The shooting down of AF1, stealing a nuclear warhead, almost destroying several power plants, stealing a Stealth Bomber, the Jack/Audrey/Paul situation, Palmer's return, and so on. I don't see how they're going to top all this, either for the final episode or for next year.
