1. Aww, thanks so much!
I might go out tomorrow night (actually, I guess that would be tonight, wouldn't it? Anyway, you know what I mean).

Right now I'm just hanging with Ma and the assorted animals.

2. Sweet. Me too.
Well - no Ma, and I'm not going out tomorrow night - but the assorted animals part. :)

I didn't do anything when I turned 21 either.

4. What animals do you have?
We've had horses, dogs, and cats forever, but recently we've ventured a little more into the agricultural pursuits with a flock of chickens, and soon we'll have rabbits and a milk goat. I'm a little overwhelmed with it all, but it's still fun; I'm planning to be a large animal vet, so I guess the more experience with animals the better!

6. Awesome! I am WAY impressed!
Vet school is no joke.

Currently, I have a dog (my ottoman at the moment), 3 cats, 3 ferrets, 3 sugar gliders, and a cockatiel.

Up until 1-2 years ago I had 5 rats, and 2 hamsters as well. I just got the bird in November when my former neighbor died. She died one month after I'd moved - after expressing her sadness about me moving. She was upset - and I didn't get to see her before she died.

Anyway, I told her a number of years ago that if anything happened to her I would care for all of her animals until they died - thankfully when she went there was only the one bird.

7. I'm sure it would mean a lot to her that you're taking care of her bird.
I've never heard of a sugar glider...what is it?

As for ferrets, I've always thought they were really cute, but I've heard they can be a little high maintenance.

Oh, and I almost forgot, my brother has an iguana; but I don't deal with him very much because supposedly they're supposed to have either a male handler or a female handler, but not both (I don't see that it makes much of a difference; this particular iguana pretty much hates everyone).

They are marsupials - native to austrailia/new guinea

10. Oh, how adorable!
I think I actually remember seeing those creatures, or something similar to them, in a pet store a few years ago. They were sleeping in these little, brightly colored woven bags.

:)

13. They are totally cute! :) High maintenance, though.
Here are a couple more pics - not mine, but from google.

Here's one jumping off it's person and gliding:

Yes, they sleep in what are essentially big "pockets" you hang in their cage:

11. I plan to!
Of course, living an hour or two from the Jack Daniels Distillery, we're somewhat well-known in this area for our Tennessee Whiskey Cake. I think that would be appropriate, don't you? ;)

And you should also visit the distillery this weekend. :D

I didn't know that you are a Tennessee girl! I'm a Mississippi gal. :D

21. Originally, I'm a Georgia gal.
But I like Tennessee much better. JD is a big presence here; in fact, students at my college can eat lunch on campus at either the Jack Daniels Dining Hall, or the Baptist Student Union...pretty ironic, eh? :7

I've always thought it was somehow significant that I was born the day before Mount St. Helens erupted.

24. You are loved and the things that stars are made of
You are made of the same, ( same sample as stars)

as all humans are, this is true
Your choice in the
little 21 years that has passed

or we have left ( at least in my age, over 50)
is enough;

is not enough time
that we need.

To celebrate your birthday

Happy Birthday

...and to everyone who responded. I really appreciate all of your birthday wishes, and I'll do my best to live it up!

As for now, however, I'm ready to hit the hay until sunrise. Goodnight, everyone!
