17. Bengals are leopard cat / domestic cat hybrids

I think the leopard cat is from south America, but I'm not certain. Jungle cats (an African species)are also used to create Chausies-another domestic pet. Of the three, the savannah has the best temperament because the Serval has been living in and near small African villages for hundreds of years and has become "semi domesticated" because of that.
