Silver Persian needs a loving home

This is Sterling, another one of my foster kitties. His owner was heartbroken when she had to give him up (she was forced to live in a nursing home). Poor sterling is nine years old and feeling completely displaced. I've never been partial to Persians, but this guy has a sweet , loving and playful personality. He's HUGE too-nearly the size of my Maine Coon! If you have any friends or family members in Florida who would like a sweet older kitty to keep them company, please let me know!

10. The reason I can't is because

My cat passed away several years ago But at the end she was incontinent. I could not bring myself to put her down, they said there was nothing wrong with her other than bladder control, so I just couldn't put my baby to sleep for something she couldn't control. Anyway, she peed everywhere. I ran around and bought up every cat product you can possibly think of. My roommate bought stuff, my parents bought stuff, I tried everything. I was putting down area rugs over plastic.. it got crazy. This went on for almost 3 years. When she passed I had to have the carpets in my entire house replaced, which cost almost 12 thousand dollars, just for the carpet & pad. But what was underneath there was nuts. It had to be sanded, treated & shellacked (for lack of a better word). I also had to buy new sofas. While no human nose could ever possibly detect that, a cat could & then would go to mark their territory. And thats how I've wound up cat free.
But I still love them!
