I made a special trip to the grocery store and the mailman didn't take
the food I put out. :-(

Thanks to DU I was reminded.
Luckily, I got home just as the rain started.

1. you are a good person
I, on the other hand, tried to talk my daughter and her boyfriend into driving around the neighborhood picking up the food so I didn't have to go to the grocery store.

2. Take it to the nearest food pantry
or a local church. Either one will be glad to take it.
The church will usually refer it over to the pantry.

4. Thought about the food at the mailboxes
but since we have community mailboxes, I didn't give since I do not trust anyone. Guess I'll give to the foodbank instead. I felt either someone will steal the food or the fundies will eat it.

5. Take it to the Post Office
Or leave it out Monday, preferably attached to your mailbox. The PO will take care of it.

6. I think my mailman hates me. It was hanging from my mailbox.
Guess he thinks I put food out all the time.

In addition, he brings me mail from all my neighbors.

7. Your mailman is an ass, maybe
If you're house is on a walking route sometimes the carrier comes back to your house after delivering your street due to the fact that the cans won't fit in his bag. So maybe he forgot to come back. In any case you can bring the cans inside the PO and hand them to a window clerk first thing Mon. They will take them, but if they won't----ask to see the station manager.
