I am hoping our John is okay. I'm very worried about our little precious one. This is scary.

29. I am almost hysterical myself
and he's not my kid.

I have this weird deja vu feeling about a friend of mine who got waylaid during a snowstorm back in high school. She was OK but her family, her friends and my family all about had a heart attack over it.

I just keep thinking that John is OK, some weird thing has happened and all is well.

Must keep telling self: All is well...

34. We must think positive thoughts
I'm all the way in Seattle. We just all must think positively - something has happened, there's been a sun spot, all of their cell phone batteries have faded, all must be well.

We really must think positively (while fretting and completely freaking out, as I am doing, that is.)

he'd probably be shocked and a little bit honored. Some of it will go to his head, but not too much...he's a good kid. I'd personally be shocked more than a guy tied to a golden poll thirty feet off the ground during a lightning storm, but that's me.

I've been reading DU since a few weeks after its conception. The woman known to all as Auntie Pinko is a freind of my mother. Auntie sent it to Mom, Mom sent it to me. My post count is misleading, I'm just quiet.
I was at the march, but due to curcumstances beyond my control, I was unable to meet any DUers. I really wanted to meet JohnKleeb, obviously he posts more than I could ever come up with and he's only a tad younger than me, so I really wanted to meet the guy!

92. If there are a pair of dudes that can take care of themselves
I'd put money on it being the combo of John and Zach.

Still, I will make sure to send some good vibes and hope they both show up soon, so we can all stop worrying.

Did the parent indicate they would let you or all the rest of us worrying when he got home. If John got home late, maybe his parents won't let him log on to DU.

What was he up to?
I remember telling my parents that I was late because I was studying at the University library and forgot the time. And my Dad said: Well then, when you are protesting the war (Vietnam), don't get your picture on the late night news.
I told the truth after that.

If you're looking in --

You raised a good kid right. If I were 16, my online time would likely be spent on Quake deathmatches, sneaking visits to skin sites, geeking out at Slashdot, and the like. John's here worrying about the future of the country with us political cranks. Good on him, good on you.
