Finally watched The Incredibles
Edited on Sat May-14-05 12:01 AM by dwickham
what a great movie!

there are so many little things in the movie that I picked up on

the department store in the movie is Clumps-an obvious take off on Gumps

the city in the beginning of the movie is definately Oakland

it mentions San Pablo Avenue which runs from Oakland to Berkeley

what did others pick up from the movie

On edit--there are several scenes that are straight out of Indiana Jones and Star Wars

this movie was produced by LucasFilms

1. Heatmiser
Notice the similarity between Syndrome and Heatmiser from "A Year Without A Santa Claus"? Plus, the wiry look that characters' hair took was a lot like those old stop-motion movies.

Absolutely deserved to be in the running.

2. I don't remember any of the little details...
But I really enjoyed this movie too. I didn't think it would be that great but it really is a movie anyone in the family can watch.

11. no
Oakland doesn't have a Traction Ave.

the city in the beginning is different from the one in which they fought the robot

10. OMG, there is so much stuff in that movie, you have to watch it
over and over!

That was the only movie I've seen so far, since the advent of DVDs, that on the way out I was really pissed they didn't have the DVD already available in the theater. I wanted to go home and watch it again immediately, many times!

Hilarious!! And not just hilarious, incredibly intelligent hilarity, and incredibly well done story telling, characterization, writing, animation, everything!
