Why would a TRUE liberal post on a conservative site?
are there not enough liberal boards to post on?

If I ever left DU, I'd drop dead before I post on a conservative board.

It just goes to show you weren't what you pretended to be.

1. I post. Usually to get their panties in a bunch. but
sometimes it's to actually get them to sign on with helping out with election reform. And a few of them do, or so they say.

47. I always...
take people at face value & assume a certain level of integrity.

Maybe that's a character flaw, but I can't let my skepticism rule my relationships and my belief in the basic good of people.

That has caused me to be hurt and taken off guard on more than one occasion, but that goes with the package.

I won't change because of the assholes on this planet.

I just have to better learn how to avoid snakes ;)

:D

But in attempted seriousnss, some people who feel betrayed by one will go so far as to become a polar opposite of those who they felt betrayed. Cowardly and sanctimonious as that truly is, I agree with you wholeheartedly, CW, that to do such a thing is utterly pretentious and low.

Just a human generalization. But it also explains why events are staged before elections; knee-jerk voting can be so much more effective if those who need the votes are so inclined and know enough of emotive response mechanisms. :-(

25. I wouldn't, but...
that's mainly just 'cause I don't have the stomach for it. I have argued politics with conservatives on "bipartisan" or mostly nonpolitical message boards before, but I don't think I could handle posting at an all-conservative site.

However, I don't think there is anything wrong with a liberal posting on a conservative site. Maybe posting their honest opinions might make a few of the less brainwashed conservatives open their eyes. If they're just going there to trash liberals, as you posted further down, I would question their motives.

But I have no problem with liberals posting on conservative sites to attempt to educate them or just talk politics. It helps in arguments with conservatives to know their talking points; so many of them use the same ones.

But I'm banished. I got kicked off a certain board for posting Ellen Mariani's RICO lawsuit against *
I know there are good people out there who are starting to wake up and don't want to be fooled any more. It is our job to do what we can. MSM certainly isn't giving them the real info, who else will?

T_P is no different than JimRob and the bozos at Free Republic. She's not a DUer and has made a public spectacle of herself.

Since she admits to having never been a liberal and had to be dragged here to bless us with her presence, why is she different than any other conservative or public figure?

on the face of the earth, I wrote an emotional post on a conservative board (NOT FR...those people are crazier than hell...FreeConservatives) and asked them as Christians how on earth they could support this crap...

I wasn't banned, but I never went back. It was just too much thinking about all the innocent people getting killed...while "Americans" cheered.

41. A true liberal knows there's good and bad in everyone
A true liberal doesn't assume someone is a bad person or has only bad ideas just because he or she is predominantly conservative.

A true liberal isn't afraid to offer ideas to a hostile audience.

A true liberal knows that preaching to the choir is a waste of time.

A true liberal could use a beer right about now.
