The lounge needs some "happy tunes" - preferably with cowbell, but
it's not requisite! I vote for "Itchycoo Park"

2. Rick Nelson, "Fools Rush In"...
...and it PROMINENTLY features a cowbell.

"When we met,
I felt my life begin,
So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in..."

10. As a kid, I liked him better than Pelvis
Those dreamy eyes for one. As a 6 year old I remember making a comment about him and his eyes which made my mom laugh, as in...you're way too young to be noticing that sort of thing!

8. How about anything on Pink Floyd's "The Wall"
Ohhhh... Youuu said "happy tunes", I thought you said "tunes that pinpoint the isolation and hopelessness of coming to grips with ones own identity in the face of childhood indoctrination into a callous society and adult feelings of disassociation." But you didn't say that.:P

11. That's what I meant to say, but I thought it would take too long to type,
so I wrote "happy" instead. :silly:

15. On another thread: "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers.
When I wake up in the morning
love
and the sun light hurts my eyes

And something without worning
love
bears heavy on my mind.
Then I look at you and the world's alright with me

Just one look at you and I know it's gonna be -

A lovely day - lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day

Lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day.
A lovely day - lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day

Lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day.

When the day that lies ahead of me seems impossible to face

And someone else instead of me always seems to know the way
Then I look at you and the world's alright with me

Just one look at you and I know it's gonna be -

A lovely day - lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
...
When the day that lies ahead of me seems impossible to face
...
A lovely day - lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
lovely day
...
:)

17. that reference to cowbell i see on DU all the time...
would that be a reference to the SNL episode with Christopher Walken when he tells Will Farrel he thinks the BOC song could use more cowbell?
