Arrrrrrgh!

My spam filters went nuts and were trashing my real mail and so I was forced to turn them off.

Literally I had over 1000 bits of porn spam since yesterday at around 5 PM.

Can we please make sending out this stuff a Capital Crime? I'd love to keel haul some of these guys.

I'd like to hire some serious hackers and have them set up a virus that would completely fry every single porn site on the Internet that sent out those spams.

Plus, some of it IS borderline criminal, period. Operative word in your post is "girls". Some of those ads are very close to pushing the pedophile envelope.

4. Oddly enough

Lately I get less porn spam and more insurance, credit and repica watches spams.

It is really a pain in the ass to check email. I think I get 100 spam mails a day and a couple real ones.

My work email if full of those things, and it's so embarassing. I don't even mind the random letter from Nigeria wanting to give me money anymore.

8. In some workplaces, that can be a real issue.

Some places are so paranoid about sexual harassment suits that an employee accidentally displaying the images in some of those emails can be grounds for dismissal!

To put it mildly.

I remember a year or two back, sending an important email to a friend at his work. I didn't have his office phone #, or even which office he worked for, just his email & his home phone.

I tried 4 times, twice from my work email and twice from my home email to contact him. All got sent back as SPAM.

So, I try to contact the company directly through their main website, and their suggestion is to email the person directly about the problem... umm, I've tried that 4 fracking times already.

Finally, I had to get up from my desk at work, go down to a payphone (it was a personal call that I didn't want folks to overhear)and call this company's main national number, ask them to find this guy in one of their Connecticut offices and get his number that way.
