if so, your "trout" isn't rude, it's just prickly because char hate trout with a passion because they're often grouped together. It is the aquatic equivalent of an anti-choice Canadian being called a pro-life American. Subtle but substantial. Both are fascists and taste good with lemon.

brook trout aren't trout. you can tell char by the wormy markings. believe you me, they hate trout! Matter of fact, most biologists will tell you that brook trout (char) don't eat other fish, but any fly-fisherperson worth their salt has caught a brookie on a streamer which is a fly made to look like a baby fish.

Brook trout, which aren't trout, have a special place for us flyfishers because they're not supposed to do what they do. They also shouldn't be where they be. They're beautiful.
