A word of advice to my fellow homeowners
clean out your gutters before the next rainstorm. We just had a wicked down pour when i noticed water streaming down my kitchen window, oh what fun to be on an 18ft extension ladder in the middle of a storm. I'm soaked and i'm kicking my husbands ass when he gets home on thursday.

2. Funny! That's where I was last Friday
Out on a ladder during a hailstorm. Who know hail could plug your downspouts for so long?

5. we had hail but it didn't last long, the gutters are clogged for 2 reasons
1. they haven't been cleaned out and 2. this tree started growing in my back yard, it's really more like a massive weed and i wanted to rip it out buy my husband loves it, he calls "Free tree" well freetree is now higher than the gutters and it's leaves have fucking clogged them.

4. I feel for you - that sucks.
I came home last August after being in Portland for one night, and my basement was flooded - a similar situation, as I hadn't cleaned the gutters. :(
