3. I'm a beer addict too.
Smithwick's, Heineken, and Stella Artois are the beers I like to drink. I finished the infamous Boston University Pub's "The Quest" and got knighted The Funky Leprechaun (and other naughty names)

But I was introduced to a new beer by our esteemed moderator, EstimatedProphet. Dos Equis. It's now my new favorite beer.

Do you find that, at times, the introductory theme plays over and over in your head, endlessly? :freak:

4. Yep!
And I often give speeches and they all begin with Hello I'm and I'm here to tell you...

It may not be an original way of introducing yourself but it's effective.

11. Hi
I'm also addicted to collecting political memoralbia.

I've met Wellstone and hobnobbed with the Kennedys over on the cape, but besides I Love Lucy, nothing else gives me more pleasure than collecting political memoralbia.

13. I've got a Mondale/Ferraro poster and a
pop art "John Kerry is A Rock Star" t-shirt on display in my room. Political memorabilia rocks.

;)

Wellstone and Kennedys! WOW! :toast: Which Kennedys? I am from MD and miss Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Former Lt. Gov. and gubernatorial candidate, daughter of RFK. Ever meet her?

23. Hey!
I have a Mondale/Ferraro button (Reagan/Bush '84 and Dump Reagan from that era as well)

The Kennedies I partied with:

Patrick
Ted (he's such a nice person, so Irish!)
Eunice Kennedy Shriver (such a nice person to talk to, I carried on a conversation with her for a while at the party)

Ted Kennedy's also helping with the organisation I work with, The National Cued Speech Association. They do so much for people with disabilities.

It was at a Best Buddies event and they sure know how to throw a party. I also helped with the Kerry campaign and met Max Cleland who chatted with me for a wee bit (he gave me an "I Love You" sign, so I'm still grinning to this day! He's such a nice man.)

8. Hi, Zenzic,
I know, I already welcomed you, but now you have your own thread, and that's very special! I waited a LONG time before posting my own thread...You are much braver, and I think, smarter...

Did you ever see the movie: "The Long, Long Trailer"? It was quite a hoot.

WELCOME, ONCE AGAIN, TO DU!

:hi:

12. Hi CaliforniaPeggy!
I've seen the Long Long Trailer... I hope I can get it on DVD because I'm moving to the UK and my fiance as an universal DVD player (plays all zones). I'll have to check Amazon if it's on DVD.

Six degrees of ZenziC to I Love Lucy:

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz worked with Bob Hope and Bob Hope was working in Africa on a movie set with Bing Crosby when my grandfather met them both!

18. Nah
My grandpa wasn't famous, but he worked for Britain as a railroad engineer. He met the Queen though, since he got the Officer of the Order of the British Empire. Did lots of things for Britain in Nigeria (especially in Lagos and Jos (where my mum was born)) . Was honoured in tribal councils by the Nigerians as well (we still have african relics from them in my house).

However.... he married Ann Coulter.

(really, that's my grandmother's maiden name)

grandmother was a much nicer version of Ann Coulter, too!

And I also can attest to the fact that she wasn't a man.

My great-grandmother's Ann Coulter as well. (Ann's a name that's passed down a lot in Ireland, my sister's got a version of Ann, my aunt, and so on) .

Just have to say I like your sig, and it's very hypnotic.

That and the one, I forget whose this is, that has Will Ferrell gyrating and hitting a cowbell. I'm like a deer in headlights when that person responds to a certain post.

but most serious drink I had was absinthe (another knight-name of mine on the BU Quest: "Absinthe Minded").

Gave me a buzz.
