I just saw some clips from the old Gong Show, and I never realized at
the time (probably because I was like 9 or 10 years old) that Chuck Barris was more coked up than any human being I've ever seen. I mean SHIT, he might as well have brought a big old bag of blow on stage with him and inhaled the whole damn thing right there :).

4. I loved the gong show
I used to watch at lunch I think I was in junior high.I especially liked the unknown comic,and gene gene the dancing machine!

12. That never aired on the west coast. The censors shut it down after
it aired on the east coast, and it never showed again or so I've been told.

and the speech that was so fast and slurred that he made NO sense whatsoever was a pretty quick giveaway :). Like I said, when it originally was on, I was like 9 years old, so I wasn't exactly looking for the signs :)
