Back page news.
Mr. TNDemo and I were discussing that this morning. He made the comment that stories like the runaway bride used to be a small article on the back pages of the newspaper and all the real news was in the first few pages. Now all the stories from the back pages are the headlines and all the real news barely gets covered. He was pondering why this was since there are news correspondents all over the world available to do real news but yet we find these little back page stories and let them dominate. I guess someone ought to have the guts to name their network The Salacious News Network. So I guess that is what I will call the MSM from now on - the back page news.

1. Not even; used to be National Enquirer
I'm trying to decide whether the lowest common denominator approach is an inevitable result of uncontrolled (if you don't count the f-word) corporate control of the media. I'm leaning that way.
