1. hehehe . . . I don't know if you're serious or not, but . . .
Yes, I have, and while playing the didge itself isn't hard, playing it continuously is :) It requires a LOT of breath (and a weird circular breathing technique you basically have to teach yourself to breath in and out almost simultaneously)

2. Crap, I didn't think of that
I have barely any air left in me. Must conserve.

I do like the sound though.

Yes, I was serious.

3. It's not like playing other wind instruments where it maximizes the
effect of your lung power. It requires much more lung capacity.

5. Very difficult to play as the Aborigines do

As already mentioned, good players can circularly breathe, and you also need to vocalize (growl, hum...) as you are buzzing your lips. I have one that I use for demonstrations in my course on the "Science of Music".

8. If you can circular breathe, then no, it's not difficult.
Learning how to circular breathe.... that's the hard part.

9. No, just spitty
and they make your lips numb after about 30 minutes. I know because I outdid a "talented" player on his own device.

Overdone "tribal", "world", whatever sound. Hey, anyone for a bamboo flute? Or maybe I'll just jam sharpened bamboo into my eyes. Sorry, but the "world beat" crap has been so overdone that I want to smash every didge, bongo, and flute played by some world-beat consumer over the aching-to-be-hip player's head.

Tan me hide when I'm dead, Fred,

So we tanned his hide when he died Clyde,

13. No, but I have an aunt named Didge. Really. I do.
I have no idea whether that's her real name, or short for something similar, or just completely off the wall. She's in Washington state.
