Weekly World News: Bush Pushing To Be Next Pope

BUSH PUSHING TO BE NEXT POPE

By JAKE ANDERSON

WEEKLY WORLD NEWS has learned that when Pope John Paul II retires or dies, President Bush wants to replace him as pontiff.

"Bush realizes he only has a couple more effective years as President," says a White House cabinet official. "But as Pope he can order people around for the rest of his life."

"Plus, he's excited about the idea of being able to tell people all over the world what to do. And, as you know, Bush has already said that God wanted him to be President. So he has that special connection with the Almighty already."

The source said that when he told Bush that he couldn't be Pope because he's not Catholic, Bush said, "The Pope's Catholic? Hmm. Does that mean a bear poops in the woods, too?"

1. Well, until 2001, I would have said
you have to be Catholic to be the Pope.

2. RE: Cheney
"I can see why he served previously as White House Chief of Staff," blushes Claudia Syndelle, 24, while viewing the show. "His staff is quite impressive."

I don't even know what to say about that one...
